How can we contribute to making your Christmas easier this season? Well, nothing says Christmas in Australia more than our local prawns. The Prawn Cocktail is a timeless classic, quick and easy to make and the perfect accompaniment to the Christmas menu.
- 500g cooked Aussie prawns, peeled, leaving tails on
- Iceberg lettuce leaves
- Slices of lemon to serve
- Slices of tomato to serve (optional)
- Sprigs of dill or parsley for garnish
- Approx ½ cup whole egg mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- Squeeze of lemon juice, to taste
Combine the dressing ingredients and set aside to chill.
Arrange iceberg lettuce leaves in small bowls, (if available, wine or martini glasses look magnificent!), decorate with the prawns and spoon over cocktail dressing.
Garnish with lemon wedge, sprigs of dill or parsley.
HANDY TIP: Did you know you can freeze the cocktail dressing? Place into an airtight container and place in the freezer for up to 3 months.
